Before you do anything be absolutely sure that you have a MXM based laptop. Make sure it's the correct type, that it has the correct thermal mounting dimensions, that you are qualified to open and close the laptop and that you are willing to forfeit your warranty. If you have any doubts regarding anything, contact us and we'll be glad to help, but before you do browse around the site a bit as a lot of answers can be found at MXM Upgrade!
If and when you order, we will assume you've read the general guidelines.
We ship worldwide, but custom duties may apply. We do not pre-pay these charges, so they are for you. Choose a card from the options below and mail us which one you'd like. Be sure to include your laptop model, your current GPU and, off coarse, your mail address. Once we have approved your request, we'll send you a Paypal link or bank transfer data and an estimated ship date.
We provide a price for the EU Schengen region and the US. For Schengen, VAT and shipping is included so no nasty surprises when the postman knocks on your door. Cards are shipped through regular postal services but you will be required to sign for the package. The US price is free of VAT and includes express shipping through DHLt. This service is trackable online.
We always include a suitable and high performance heatpad for the GPU with our cards. It may sound trivial, but most of the time a 1mm high performance pad is required and they are not that easy to get. The pad we deliver logs an impressive 17W/mk.
We do not offer a "buy-it-now" or comparable option as we prefer to review each request individually. Even if the card of your choice is not there, feel free to drop us a line as we often have a selection of one time cards available.

Heatpads
The heatpad is a dramatic part of the heatchain that keeps your notebook cool (or not). When the heat is transferred from your GPU to the heatsink it passes the pad and there can be a temperature difference of 10 degrees and more between both sides, especially if the covered distance is high like in many Uniwill notbooks. Because the original heatpad wears out pretty fast, we include a fresh heatpad with each card bought from MXM-upgrade. However, if your are not buying anything else from us but your heatpad has degraded regardless we'll be happy to provide you with one.
We currently offer 2 types. The lower grade is perfect for low to midrange cards and can be reworked if handled carefully.

Artic Silver AS5 - 8€
Often the heatsink that covers the MXM card is the same one that conducts heat away from the CPU. To ensure the thermal connection between the die and heatsink thermal paste is applied. Some manufactures will use high performance paste, other will use whatever they think they can get away with but both will degrade when the heatsink is removed one or more times.
Aiming to provide a solution as complete as possible, MXM Upgrade now offers the opportunity to add a tube of AS5 to your order, the defacto industry standard in thermal pastes. As we are already sending you a package and additional weight is limited, we can offer this without increased shipping costs.
MXM Connectors
Aiming to provide a service as wide as possible as long as it is MXM we can now offer the actual MXM connectors to our embedded computing costumers. Whether you need a few connectors for sample runs or demonstration purpose or a few reels for mass production: we have them readily available and are ready to ship within 1 or two days.

While MXM is supposed to be plug-and-play, just like any desktop card, reality has shown that this is not always the case. MXM Upgrade acknowledges this and is here to help you.
We offer a money back guarantee, effective once the module is safely returned to us. Like this, you can minimize the risk you take while ordering a module. We can probably offer you the most expertise on the net but if it doesn't work out, you get your money back. We will, however, charge you a restocking fee and shipping.
For selected cases, we are offering a full money back guarantee, including shipping, Paypal and all other costs. These are cases where compatibility is to be investigated and the potential gain is high. Any request for a card is automatically taken in consideration for this offer. When it is offered, it is offered on the premises that our costumer is willing and able to search for solutions with us, is knowledgeable about notebooks and agrees to document the process to allow us to compile a how-to guide.
