Uniwill 259 upgrade to 7600

Note from MXM-Upgrade(24 january 2007): That's it, no more 7600's. We hope to replace them with a DX10 offering soon, frop us a line if you want to be first in line to give them a go.

Note from MXM-Upgrade (3 november 2007): The 7600 cards we currently sell feature mounting studs so Dremmeling the heatsink should no longer be required.

Note from MXM-Upgrade (11 december 2007): 7600 cards are currently not offered. Contact us if you want us to send you a mail if we have new suitable cards.

  2. May be instable!

2.) The Uprade

2.1) Remove the screws from backside cover!   2.2.) Remove the screws from the heatpipe   2.3.) Remove the screw from the card and the blue heatpads carefully! You need it later!

2.5.) The new Card has one chip, who is 1 mm hihger as the other ones, so you must modify your heatsick   2.6.) It is esay to modify the heatsick, you only have to mill off 1mm   2.4.) Remove the 6600 card and replace it with the 7600 Card, use the screw to bolt on!

2.5.) You can use the old blue heatpads or new ons with 1 mm of high!

2.6.) Paste the heatpipe and bolt on the screws   2.7.) Close the notebook and ready to start :)!

- of every ram-chip (4 x)
- of the GPU (1x)
- of the two silver-chips (2x)
- of the Chipset (Mainboard)

- of the cpu use heatpaste ( remove carefully the old before )

2.7.)At next i have found a little problem:
I turn on the notebook, but nothing is displayed (black display, only background light) !

  1.  if i switch to internal graphics card and start again, the display shows sometimes "nvram Check”&”08E"
after that i turn off and switch to Geforce and start again, so it works!
  2. Or i press “Strg+Alt+Entf” several times for restart, so it works again
This problem i have sometimes by turn on the notebook! if any one have a solution, please mail me!

3. Driver settings and benchmark

I use a modified *.inf file for the driver from Nvidia!   I set with the "rive tuner" the memory frequenzy from 350 to 381Mhz

higher settings i become an Errormessage
